Full Motion Video Games Are Still A Thing...

Full Motion Video games were a totally 90's thing. It was a way to combat the harsh animation of the time with actual film (albeit a little pixelated). You play the game by watching the game unfold and the game responds by whatever choices you make.

One of the most well known FMV games was a game called Night Trap. It was such a campy mess of a game, but left an imprint on anyone who played it growing up. Probably because you're saving a bunch of women in nighties from a sleepover being taken over by bad guys.

It's an understatement to say FMV games in 2017 are much better. Are you playing any FMV games? Here's a list of current ones available on Steam.

Let's not forget that games like Mortal Kombat and Night Trap actually were controversial in their day and led to the creation of the ESRB. And those games are kinda tame compared to today's games.
