Death Metal Band Decapitated Appears In Court, Will Remain In LA Jail

Polish Death Metal band Decapitated are being held in a Los Angeles jail for kidnapping and sexual assault charges and appeared in court before being extradited back to Washington, where the alleged crime occurred. All four members, Michal Lysejko, Waclaw Kieltyka, Rafal Piotrowski, and Hubert Wiecek went before the judge to verbally agree to the extradition.

An unnamed woman claims the band sexually assaulted her after she was invited onto their tour bus for drinks. According to court documents, she says all four band members took turns raping her. Bruises on her body are consistent with her claims of abuse and restraint. Decapitated were arrested in Santa Ana, Calif. on first-degree kidnapping charges on September 9th.

“We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms,” Decapitated's Spokane-based attorney said. “Decapitated plan to fully fight the allegations that are brought against them, and we are fully confident that the other side of this story will be heard.”

The band will be held in Los Angeles jail until the extradition, which could take up to 30 days.
