Help raise awareness of issues facing our veterans including preventing suicide, PTSD and TBI. The 2019 Fight Oar Die ocean rowing team arrived in Mobile August 9th to begin training for the December Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (TWAC). The TWAC, dubbed the “World’s Toughest Ocean Row,” is a 3000 nautical mile race from the Canary Islands westward to the island of Antigua and Barbuda. The Veteran team (all Army) formed the nonprofit to inspire Veterans from all eras to get out and live their lives; to take on what they believe might be impossible; to find their new mission. Guests will enjoy a silent auction, live music from renowned entertainer Mark Pipas, and authentic Creole fare. This festival focuses on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues, with a goal of expanding the region’s diversity and acceptance of diverse identities.
