The Campfire Fund of Florida Presents Brett Benton Album Release Party with The Victrolas and Justin Lee Hester at The Handlebar
“Brett Benton’s lifelong love of hill country and Delta blues shines through on his new album… an insight into what life is all about growing up down south, it’s meant to sound rowdy.”
-American Blues Scene
Brett Benton, a Pensacola native currently living in the Pacific Northwest, returns to the Gulf Coast on November 5th to play a highly anticipated show at The Handlebar in celebration of his new album, appropriately titled ‘Southern Raised’. Joining him are Mobile-based trio The Victrola’s and Pensacola local Justin Lee Hester.
Known for his rowdy-yet-intense shows, Benton’s hill-country blues driven sound is delivered with a commanding voice, slide guitar and fierce rhythms that always gets the crowd moving. He’s been featured on internationally-reaching KEXP and his debut album ‘You Got To Pray’ features Grammy-winning hill country blues legend Cedric Burnside. His new album features another Mississippi legend, Jimbo Mathus of the Squirrel Nut Zippers, as well as Drive By Trucker’s bassist Matt Patton.
Presented by The Campfire Fund of Florida, partial proceeds of ticket sales will benefit The Campfire Fund of Florida to provide access to mental health resources for men in the Pensacola community.
