TMZ reports LA law enforcement has informed TMZ the singer hanged himself inside his private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County.
His body was discovered just before 9AM, Thursday.
Bennington was very close to Chris Cornell, who also committed suicide. Today would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday. Bennington was 41.
Linkin Park has no doubt has made a huge impact on the Rock world. No doubt his absence will be equally powerful.
