City of Pensacola Debris Collection Update

City of Pensacola Sanitation crews and contractors are continuing curbside debris pickup after Hurricane Sally, collecting approximately 2,792 loads totaling 122,644 cubic yards since Monday, Sept. 21. 

The public's patience is appreciated as crews work through every neighborhood in the city to collect the significant amount of debris generated by Hurricane Sally. 

Approximately 59 contractor crews and 11 city crews are currently working throughout the city to complete the first sweep for debris collection, which is expected to continue for the next several weeks. Once crews complete the first sweep, they will make a second sweep to collect additional debris from curbsides and rights of way within city limits. 

Debris pickup will be ongoing. The City of Pensacola will notify the public before making the final debris collection sweep. To stay informed, sign up for email or text notifications through Notify Me or follow the City of Pensacola on Facebook.

The current estimated amount of debris to be collected in the city is approximately 350,000 cubic yards, of which 122,644 cubic yards have already been collected.
