CITY OF MOBILE’S JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION- Fri 3pm-6pm, **** moved indoors to the James Seals Community Center due to weather****

Celebrate community, culture, and freedom on Friday, June 19th! This FREE event will include live performances, music, face painting, food trucks, and more. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. CLICK HERE   

GALLERY NIGHT PENSACOLA “JOURNEY TO JUNETEENTH”- ***CANCELLED DUE TO WX ****

Gallery Night is BACK on Palafox, and this Friday, Gallery Night is spreading out across downtown: Palafox Street, Plaza Ferdinand, and South Jefferson Street. Head to the Pensacola History Museum for an incredible lineup of local talent all evening long. It’s family friendly, so come celebrate culture, art, and community this Juneteenth. CLICK HERE  

 

CITY OF PRICHARD JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION-  ****POSTPONED DUE TO WX *****

The Annual City of Prichard Juneteenth Celebration is a two-day Freedom Day celebration honoring culture, community, unity, and the continued celebration of freedom. Friday, families are invited to enjoy a day filled with community fun, including a water balloon war, basketball exhibition, kickball games, yard games, food trucks, and more. Saturday, the Freedom Day Parade begins at 12 noon at the Prichard Community Center, and travels from West Main Street to Wilson Avenue.  CLICK HERE    

MOBILE COUNTY COMMEMORATES JUNETEENTH- Fri 10am-1pm, Historic Avenue Cultural Center, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave

Join the Mobile County Commission for a special Juneteenth commemoration honoring the significance of June 19, 1865, and reflecting on what life was like in Mobile during this pivotal moment in history.

The event includes a historical presentation, community reflection and a conversation with acclaimed Mobile artist Charles Smith. Free and open to the public.  CLICK HERE
