I have had a few conversations lately about date nights. What I realized is that most people are pretty unimaginative when it comes to dates. First off asking someone over to watch Netflix only means one thing and THAT'S not a date. Sure you can do the old dinner and a movie, but why? Be original!!!
I actually saw a list of favorite first date spots & most are popular chain places...HOW BORING! In this society people lose interest fast so why not stand out from the crowd. I have never bought into the dinner and a movie date night. It's just not who I am & I'm pretty sure I would have a horrible time so what would make me think anyone I would date would enjoy that as a date night. I have come up with all sorts of dates over the years to make it more interesting for not only me but for my prospective date as well. I have done date night at go cart tracks, mini golf, and once I even found an Elvis impersonator hosting Karaoke. All were great dates because we had fun.
This time of year offers so many unique options for date night. It doesn't matter if you have been together forever or if it's a first date all could be an excellent option for your date. If it's a first date then it will definitely make sure that you stand out from the crowd & could be your way in for a second date.
- Christmas Nights of Lights at the Hank ... What a fantastic option, you are in the car listening to Christmas Music watching a light show and it gives you the chance to hold a conversation with your date.
- Christmas Parades...These are fun for a date idea, have a drink and comment on the floats. What a great way to get to know your date a little bit. Not all parades happen first thing in the morning, although what's wrong with a date in the daylight? CLICK HERE to see what parades are happening when.
- Winter at the Wharf...I know what you're thinking, there a a lot of places at the Wharf to take a date, but have you thought of taking your date ice skating? What about a horse and carriage ride? They have those there right now.
- The Winterfest Performance Tour...17 performances along a 60-minute trolley trip through Downtown Pensacola. How romantic and fun to take a trolley trip.
These are just a few ideas to get you started. All I'm really saying is think outside the box when it comes to your date ideas. Get out of the norm and it will make your Holiday date nights special.
