Wednesday is Women's Equality Day and I am absolutely amazed at the communication that was put out there in the past. Boredpanda has an article that kept me flabbergasted and laughing at the same time about the '129 Ways To Get a Husband' from 1958. We have come a long way from when this article was written & some of these tips left me going...if I see that I run the other way, she's probably crazy! The ones that really got me was the 'use the ashtray, don't crush out cigarettes in coffee cups', 'resist the urge to make him over - before marriage that is!', 'be friendly to ugly men', 'learn to paint, & set up an easel outside an engineering school'.
Oh we really have come a long way. I realize a lot of us still struggle to find a solid relationship, but personally I would prefer for mine to come from equality and not from the standards set in the '50s
